Discover love and music in the sultry streets of Miami with “A Seasonal Song.”

Clarissa Bianchi, a talented violinist, lands her dream internship with the Miami Orchestra, but little does she know that she will also discover the love of her life. Jack Williams, a rugged rock guitarist with a broken heart, meets Clarissa and is instantly drawn to her beauty and passion for music. Despite their different musical backgrounds, their mutual love for music brings them together on a journey filled with passion, growth, and unforgettable memories.

As the summer draws to a close, Clarissa and Jack must navigate their intense feelings for each other and determine if their love is strong enough to withstand the distance between Miami and Boston. Will their hearts play a different song, or will the romance come to an end?

“A Seasonal Song” is a love story that will leave you humming a sweet tune long after you turn the last page.

What would you say is a typical day in the life of Dan Shaskin and Deb Wesloh?

Deb Wesloh – I work full time. After dinner I usually spend the evenings either writing (short stories, cancer articles, songs and novels) or playing guitar and singing.

Dan Shaskin – I work as a computer consultant in Lisbon Portugal. In my spare time I work on our current book, play guitar or violin. I’m also an avid reader.

Who or what would you say has influenced your writing style the most?

Deb Wesloh – Stephen King, and several romance novel writers. I am also a part of a couple writing groups and they provided a lot of assistance in my writing form.

Dan Shaskin – Without a doubt James Patterson is my favorite author. My sister and I write romance novels. Ironically, I don’t normally read romance novels. So, I don’t follow closely any particular romance novelist.

What are your favorite past times?

Deb Wesloh – walking, biking, writing, reading, singing, and playing guitar.

Dan Shaskin – I love listening to all types of music. I play guitar, violin and the ukulele. I also enjoy creative writing.

What types of scenes do you find the most difficult to write and why?

Deb Wesloh – don’t have any specific scenes that were hard to write.

Dan Shaskin – We write our romance novels for an age category starting at 13+. I don’t have problems writing intimate scenes, but sometimes I struggle with the working to make them appropriate for all age groups.

Can you tell us more about your upcoming release?

It’s a romance novel between two musicians Jack and Clarissa. They meet in Miami and fall in love. However, Clarissa needs to return to Boston to continue her schooling so they will need to decide the path their lives will take.

What do you think readers will like most about the book?

Deb Wesloh – It’s a sweet romance with memorable characters

Dan Shaskin – Our novels, including A Seasonal Song, are all based on the combination of music and romance. If you like those two subjects, I’m certain you will like our novels.

What question do you wish someone would ask about you or your book? (then answer it 😉 )

Deb Wesloh – Was it hard writing a book together when you live in different countries? It was pretty easy for the most part as we would just email each section we wrote back and forth.

Dan Shaskin – How did you get the inspiration for your book’s characters? Almost of the characters are other musicians I have met on Facebook or Instagram. For example, Clarissa (the main character in the book) is a real 20-year-old Italian/American classical violinist. We kept her first name but changed her last name to Bianci.
